John'S Lake Management District: Acq-John'S Lake Land Acquisition - Marek Property: The John's Lake Lake Management District will acquire approximately 9.2 acres of land, including 550 feet of shoreline, situated on the western shore of John's Lake in Waushara County, for lake protection purposes. The primary goals of the land management plan are 1) to protect the lake's health and water quality by protecting a water recharge/wetland area for the lake contained on the property; 2) to ptotect the aquatic plant beds located off shore which support fisheries habitat and spawning; 3) to preserve the property in it's natural state to protect it's wildlife amd waterfowl habitat.

Waupaca County: Acq-Keller Lake Land Acquisition: Waupaca County proposes to purchase 36 acres of unimproved property located adjacent to Keller Lake for conservancy purposes.

(The metes and bounds survey of this property indicates 57 acres of property, which includes acreage under Keller Lake: 21 acres. This entire purchase includes taking title of this 21 acres of lake bed. The valuation, however, does not include this 21 acres of lake bed because it has no value.)

Waushara County: Acq-Kusel Lake Land Acquisition - Petersen Property: Waushara county will acquire approximately 30.78 acres of land with 1,150 feet of shoreline to preserve and protect the shoreline and water quality of Kusel Lake. the primary goals of the property's management plan will be 1) TO MAINTAIN THE PROPERTY AS OPEN S[ACE/PARKLAND, 2) TO PRESERVE AHND RPOTECT THE PROPERTY'S SHORELINE IN ITS NATURAL STATE, 3) TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE PROPERTY'S WETLANDS, AND 4) TO ALLOW PUBLIC ACCESS FOR PASSIVE RECREATION INCLUDING HIKING AND CROSS COUNTRY SKIING.

The project will ecologically characterize the structural and functional aspects of common reed grass stands, as well as develop information necessary for the management, protecction and rehabilitation of mid-lake wetlands.

Lake Poygan Sportsman'S Club: Res-Page'S Slough Carp Barrier Project: The Lake Poygan Sportsman's Club will build and install a mechanical carp barrier and rock berm at the mouth of Pages Slough, Lake Poygan. The rock berm will be approximately 300 feet in length with a fifty-foot base and 6 foot top deck. A ramp walk will be installed within the berm for access. This walk will be 50 feet in length and 24 feet wide. The mechanical barrier will be constructed of metal sheet piling and panels. A gated access will be built into the barrier for boats. The mechanical barrier will be approximately 100 feet in width. All materials and design will conform to the CH 30 permit requirements as isued by the WI DNR. The design will be reviewed and approved by Winnebago County Land and Water Conservation Dept.

Waushara County: Acq-Meinen Land Acquisition On Lyman/Hartford Lake: Waushara County proposes to purchase 70 acres of land known as the Meinen parcel on Lyman (Hartford) Lake to be used for conservancy purposes.

Pleasant Lake Improvement Corporation: Lmi-Pleasant Lake Run Off Control: Pleasant Lake Improvement Corporation proposes to implement their stormwater runoff control plan. The project diverts the runoff and it's associated sediments and pollutants away from Pleasant Lake and into a sand discharge area. The project activities include North and South diversions removed and replaced, a speed bump and west edge ramp removed and replaced as called for in the approved plans.

Current reed health will also be reported and compared in the final project results.

Wolf River Preservation Association: Wolf River Water Clarity Study Phase 3: The Wolf River Preservation Association proposes to examine differences in percent contribution of algae, detritus, and sediment to total suspended solids concentration by mass during different months; and study the relationship between diurnal fluctuations in tirbidity and motorboat use levels and differences in motorboat impacts on turbidity by time of year. This project is the 3rd phase of studies which includes 3 lakes and the main stem of the Wolf River. Data from this study will be used to develop future recommendations for improving water clarity in Partridge Lake, Partridge Crop Lake, Cincoe Lake and the Wolf River. If a relationship is found between motorboat use and turbidity levels, management prescrpitions aimed at reducing the impact will be developed. The DNR will be provided with both a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report. The results of the study will be disseminated locally and to local and state government via community meetings and a written report.

Wolf River Preservation Association: Wolf River Watershed Management Planning - Phase 2: The Wolf River Preservation Association proposes to continue watershed management planning activities. Phase 2 project activities include continuing water quality monitoring, conducting a recreational use survey, continuing to assess erosional areas, continuing to identify exotic species, and preparation of a report summarizing the data collected and analyses performed. The sponsor will provide the Department of Natural Resources with both a paper copy and an electronic copy of the report. Information about the results of phase 2 activities will be disseminated to the public by newsletter, fact sheet, public meeting, and local newspaper article.

Winnebago Lakes Council, Inc.: Winnebago Pool Lakes Outreach And Forum Development: The Winnebago Lakes Counsil proposes to hire an organization coordinator to support the following:

4. Mining community information realative to board and membership development
5. Event planning, lake forums

Winnebago Lakes Council, Inc.: Winnebago Watershed Conservation Education Project: The Winnebago Lakes Council proposes to conduct a lake planning project to develop a natural resources photo media data base/portfolio to be utilized at several media levels including web publishing and paper media in the interest of promoting sound lake management of the Winnebago system. The deliverable will be a summary report including project actions, products and evaluation of media deployment efficacy. The Department shall receive both paper and electronic PDF copies of the final report along with, or prior to submission of the grantee's final payment request.

Winnebago Lakes Council, Inc.: Winnebago System Water Level Monitoring Network Evaluation: The Winnebago Lakes Council will evaluate the efficacy (relative to existing needs) and sufficiency(relative to future needs) of WLF monitoring network on the Winnebago system lakes. They will construct a plan to address the existing and future needs of the WLF network. Lakes included are Winnebago, Poygan, Winneconne, and Butte de Morts in the counties of Winnebago, Calumet, Waushara, and Fond du Lac. The methods and actions employed: appraise all WLF monitoring sites, conduct station inventory, physical visits, data output handling, volunteer aspects, hardware/software descriptions. Integrate with USACE.

Waupaca County: Walla Walla Creek/Ponto Project: To cost-share installation of manure management and barnyard runoff practices in order to remedy violations of the performance standards and prohibitions dealing with unconfined manure piles and prevention of direct runoff from a feedlot or stored manure into waters of the state.
